Pre-Preparation

1. Whisk the cornstarch with enough water to form a slurry - The consistency of thin gravy.
2. Dice onions and mince garlic.

Preparation

1. Saute onions and garlic in oil.
2. Add remaining ingredients (except the slurry) and bring to a simmer.
3. Burr mix and then add slurry.
4. Bring sauce to a boil.
5. Strain sauce in a China cap and cool.
