Spanish Resources

What it is

Spanish Resources is a Spanish-language resource library. It has two parts:

• Spanish Resources — the landing (hub) page at /es-us/spanish-resources. It shows a searchable, filterable list of every resource you add. You don’t build this page module-by-module for the list itself; the list is generated automatically from the resource entries.
• Spanish Resources Entry — the section where you add the individual resources (each file or link). These entries have no page of their own on the front end; they only appear in the hub’s list.

The hub is empty until you add entries. Until then, visitors see a “no results” message.

 

How to add a Spanish resource

1. In the CP, go to Entries → Spanish Resources Entry.
2. Click New entry.
3. Give it a Title — this is the heading shown on the resource’s card in the list.
4. Fill in the fields (see below).
5. Save.

The new resource appears in the hub list automatically. There’s nothing to place or link by hand.

 

What each field does

All of these live on the Downloads tab of the entry:

• Title (required) — the resource name, shown as the card heading.
• Downloads – File — the file to offer for download (uploaded to the Downloads volume). Use this OR the External Link, not both — if a file is present, the card links to the file.
• Downloads – External Link — a URL to link to when there is no file. Used only if the File is empty.
• Downloads – File Type — the resource’s file type (e.g. PDF, Video). Powers the File Type filter on the hub — pick one.
• Downloads – Category — the resource’s topic/category. Powers the Category filter on the hub — pick one.
• Downloads – Subheading — a short line shown under the title on the card.
• Downloads – Caption — a short description shown on the card.

Tip: every entry should have either a File or an External Link so the card has something to link to. Set the File Type and Category so the resource shows up correctly under the hub’s filters.

The Meta and SEO tabs behave the same as elsewhere on the site and are optional for these items.

 

How entries appear in the hub

The hub page shows all Spanish Resources entries as cards, newest first. Above the list are:

• A Search box (matches the entry’s text).
• A Category filter (from Downloads – Category).
• A File Type filter (from Downloads – File Type).

Visitors can combine the search box with either filter to narrow the list. Each card links to the resource’s file (or, if there’s no file, its external link).

 

Notes

• This is the same feature on both the Chef Ann Foundation and The Lunch Box sites — the fields and behavior are identical.
• If a resource isn’t appearing under a filter, confirm its Category / File Type is set. If it isn’t linking, confirm it has a File or an External Link.
