Preparation

  1. Place rice and water in the bowl of a rice cooker (ratio = 1 part rice to 2 parts water).
  2. Stir well and cover with the lid.
  3. Turn on the rice cooker and cook until it indicates the rice is ready.
    Note: Alternatively, combine rice and water in hotel pans and cook in a steamer until tender, about 20 to 30 minutes.
  4. Once the rice is cooked, combine the cooked rice and salsa; mix thoroughly to fully combine.
  5. Serve immediately, or hold hot until service at 140°F or higher.
