Instructions
Pre-Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2. Prep vegetables:
a. Dice onion.
b. Shred lettuce.
c. Slice tomato.
Preparation
1. In a large pan or tilt skillet over medium-high heat, add oil.
2. Add onions to pan and saute until slightly browned and translucent.
3. Add ground beef, salt, and pepper.
4. Saute for several minutes until beef is browned and reaches an internal temperature of 155 degrees F.
5. Drain off any excess fat/liquid.
6. Add 2oz. of cooked beef to a hoagie roll.
7. Top beef with 3/4 oz. slice of cheddar cheese.
8. Place sandwiches on a sheetpan and toast in preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Serving
1. Top each sandwich with 0.85oz. of shredded lettuce and 1 slice (0.96oz.) of tomato for service
